Bluboo’s C100 Is An Android Smartphone Running Lollipop 5.1 For $99

We keep on saying that China is home to many smartphone manufacturing companies, for a reason though. There are a ton of well-known Chinese OEMs like Xiaomi, Huawei, ZTE, Meizu, etc., but there are far more of those smaller ones that you have or have not heard of just yet. Bluboo definitely belongs in that category, though this is a Hong Kong-based company. This Chinese smartphone OEM has announced an interesting flagship though, which we thought is worth the hassle. Anyhow, let’s check out what it has to offer, shall we.

The handset in question is Bluboo C100, a low-mid range handset running Android 5.1 Lollipop. This device features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS OGS panel along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor which supports 4G LTE connectivity. FDD, WCDMA and GSM signals are covered here, though we don’t have the actual bands available at the moment, we’ll have to wait in order to see what exactly is covered and what isn’t. On the back of this handset you’ll find a 5-megapixel camera, while there’s a 2-megapixel shooter available up front. This is a dual-SIM device and it supports dual band 2.5G/5G Wi-Fi connectivity. The 2,000mAh battery is also a part of the package here and as previously mentioned, this handset will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop on top.

How much will it cost? Well, this handset will be available for $99 in Black and White color options. This device will be available internationally through various retailers, in case you live abroad. Bluboo has partnered up with a number of retailers like GearBest and 1949deal, so the device will probably be available from every single retailer listed on this link. This handset doesn’t look half bad, it even sports a metal trim all around, and you just can’t beat that price. This is yet another option for people who’re looking the latest software, 4G LTE connectivity, metallic trim and a really cheap device all in one. The Bluboo C100 is still not available for sale, though the company did say it will become available soon, so you’ll have to wait a bit longer if you’re interested.
