HTC One E9+_2

Soon after HTC announced their newest One M9 flagship last month, a number of HTC-branded devices started leaking out. HTC One M9+, One E9 and One E9+ have all surfaced, and the One E9+ was even listed on the company’s official website in China. This Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer has announced the “More than One” event soon after the One M9 launch, and has hinted that the One M9+ handset will be launched at that event on April 8th. Well, that happened today, we’ve already covered the launch of the One M9+, you can check that content out by clicking here. The One M9+ is not the only handset that launched though, the company has also officially unveiled the One E9+, let’s see what it has to offer.

Much like the One M9+, the One E9+ comes sporting a QuadHD (2560 x 1440) IPS LCD display, but the One E9+’s panel is slightly bigger and it measures 5.5-inches. This handset also features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (quite probably expandable). MediaTek’s MT6795 64-bit octa-core processor is powering on this handset and it’s clocked at 2.0GHz. 20-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture, wide-angle lens) can be found on the back of this device along with an LED flash which is located below the sensor itself. 13-megapixel camera (f/2.0) is located up front, which is something some people might appreciate. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this device with HTC’s Sense 7 UI on top of Google’s OS. The HTC One E9+ comes with support for 4G LTE connectivity and will most probably offer dual SIM support, though that part wasn’t mentioned. HTC’s BoomSound speakers are also a part of the package here, in case you were wondering.

There you have it folks, by the looks of it, HTC has announced two new flagships is China. The One M9+ and One E9+ are different, but at the same time also very similar. HTC One M9+ offers Duo Camera setup on the back, a physical home button which doubles as a fingerprint scanner and the two handsets are slightly different in terms of internals and design. The One E9 is built out of different materials (it seems like plastic, at least partially) and has no physical home button nor a Duo Camera on the back, but this handset is very much a powerhouse smartphone as well. We still don’t know anything about availability or pricing, but will let you know as soon as we hear something.

…still developing…
