Haier G100 Images And Spec Info Leaks; Mate 7 Look-Alike To Sport A Fingerprint Scanner

Haier Group is a China-based consumer electronics and home appliances company. Haier might sound very familiar to some of you considering this company actually partnered up with Meizu earlier this year and introduced a range of smart gadgets. Anyhow, Haier-made smartphone has been rumored for quite some time now, and it seems like it’s going to become a reality rather soon. This smartphone has been rumored to sport mid-range specifications and be released in the coming months. Well, we have some spec info and images to share with you this time around, I guess we can call this a rather massive leak.

The device in question is called Haier G100 and according to leaked information it will sport a 6-inch display, so we’re talking about a rather big device here, a phablet if you will. Anyhow, this new info says that the device will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor, while previous info said that it will be powered by a rather obsolete MT6582 SoC. This handset will ship with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, while you can also expect a 2,850mAh battery to arrive inside of this device. The 8-megapixel camera will be located on the back of this device, while a 2-megapixel snapper will be available on its front side. The Haier G100 will measure 144 x 72 x 9mm and it seems like it will also sport a fingerprint scanner on the back.

That being said, this device unbelievably resembles Huawei’s Ascend Mate 7 phablet which launched in October last year. Looking at this handset from the front, many people would get fooled into thinking this is the Ascend Mate 7. It has an almost identical design on the front, not to mention its front-facing sensors and the ear speaker grill placement is almost identical. This smartphone also offers the rear-facing fingerprint scanner as the Ascend Mate 7, and it seems like Haier also opted to use aluminum as the build material here, which is kind of odd considering the mid-range specifications here.
