The Lenovo A6000 was one of the smartphones this China-based smartphone manufacturer announced back at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas back in January. This handset has been available in India for quite some time now, and the time has come for the company to announce a new version of it. The company has announced the A6000 Plus handset during the flash sale of their mid-ranger A7000 handset. Let’s check out what it has to offer and how it compares to the A6000.
This handset features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz is powering on this handset along with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. Android 4.4 KitKat will come pre-installed on this handset with Lenovo’s Vibe 2.0 UI being installed on top of it. The 8-megapixel camera is located on the back of the Lenovo A6000 Plus and is flanked by an LED flash. The 2-megapixel shooter can be found on the front side of this device. This handset is 8.2mm thick and it weighs 128 grams. The A6000 Plus is equipped with a 2,300mAh battery and it does offer 4G LTE connectivity, in case you were wondering.
The A6000 Plus is basically identical to the Lenovo A6000 as far as the design goes. The two handsets share the same dimensions and looks, and are quite similar on the inside as well. The only difference here is in the RAM count, the Lenovo A6000 Plus actually offers 2GB of RAM compared to 1GB that is available in the regular A6000. The Lenovo A6000 Plus comes in White, Black, Red and Yellow color options and will be available via Flipkart in India most probably. This Chinese smartphone manufacturer still didn’t reveal how much will this device cost, but you can expect it to cost slightly more than the regular A6000 which is priced at Rs. 6,999 ($112). There you have it folks, this is yet another mid-range offering by Lenovo which will see a lot of competition in the Indian market once it launches.
