New Nubia Z9 Images Give Us A Better Look At ZTE’s Upcoming ‘Bezel-Free’ Flagship

ZTE has launched the Nubia Z9 Mini and Nubia Z9 Max devices a while back, but the company did not unveil the Nubia Z9 just yet. This handset is arguably the most interesting one out of ZTE’s flagship Nubia Z9 line of devices. We’ve seen a ton of leaks and rumors regarding this device thus far and the company’s General Manager has confirmed that this handset will be ‘bezel-less’. This China-based company has already teased the arrival of this handset, the company has said that they’ll hold an event on May 6. ZTE did not necessarily say that they’ll launch this device on said date, but the teaser was quite obvious and the company’s General Manager did also say that this handset will land soon, so… yes, the Nubia Z9 will be announced at the beginning of next month.

As already mentioned, we’ve seen quite a few Nubia Z9 leaks, and the most recent one confirmed the looks of ZTE’s flagship. A couple of new images surfaced today, you can check them ou in the gallery down below. As you can see, this handset sports basically no bezel on the sides, and judging by all the available info thus far, we’re looking at a premium metal build here. Letv has recently announced a line of devices which sport very minimal side bezels, and Oppo also plans to launch a similar ‘bezel-free’ device soon, at least judging by a number of recent leaks.

The Nubia Z9 will feature a 5.X 1080p (1920 x 1080) or QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3 or 4GB of RAM and quite probably 32GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor will power on this device along with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics. The 16 and 8-megapixel sensors that can be found in the Nubia Z9 Mini and Nubia Z9 Max will quite probably make an appearance in this handset as well. Android 5.0.2 will come pre-installed with ZTE’s Nubia UI 2.8 on top of Google’s operating system. This handset will, of course, offer 4G LTE connectivity option and a dual-SIM setup is also quite probable.
