Xiaomi is the number one smartphone manufacturer in China, but the company is also quite active in India as well. Xiaomi intends to open up shop in India in Q3 or Q4 this year, but until that happens, they’re forced to offer their devices through resellers. Well, Xiaomi has been selling their smartphones exclusively via Flipkart in India until now, the company has now added some additional partners in that Asian country. This China-based company has turned 5 years old (the anniversary event took place a week ago) yesterday, and has announced that they’ll be selling smartphones via Amazon India and Snapdeal as well from now on in addition to offline retail via Airtel and The Mobile Store.

“We are glad to give Mi fans more options to purchase Mi products. We are truly excited to be working with a variety of partners and expect these partnerships to be super successful,” said Manu Jain, Head of Xiaomi India. In addition to announcing the end of Flipkart exclusivity in India, the company has also released some details regarding the Mi Fan Festival which will take place tomorrow (Wednesday). Xiaomi has announced that it will give away free accessories with the purchased Redmi Note 4G handset, along with a bunch of additional promotions which kick off tomorrow. The company will discount the Xiaomi Mi 4, and open up Redmi 2 sales across all online partners and The Mobile Store. That’s not all though, the Mi Pad will be back in stock as well, and you’ll be able to purchase it without the need to register or anything like that.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 16GB will cost Rs. 17,999 ($289) tomorrow, and the 64GB model will set you back Rs. 21,999 ($353) should you choose to buy it. If you purchase the Redmi Note 4G from one of the offline partners, however, you’ll get the 5,400mAh Power Bank. If you opt to purchase it through one of the online partners, Xiaomi will bundle in a pair of Mi In-Ear Headphones. “Mi Fan Festival is a huge online party that we throw every year to bring Mi fans together all around the world for a day of non-stop celebration. It’s our way of thanking our fans for their huge support. We’re super thrilled to have Mi India joining the party this year and look forward to spending many more birthdays together,” said Hugo Barra, Vice President of Xiaomi Global.
